As you may have seen or heard recently, DeroGold has planted its roots in the radio world with our new advertisement. While on the surface this ad might not seem like much, it represents a bigger move for DeroGold to reach out to a more general audience to try to intrigue people with the prospect of cryptocurrency mining.
We know most users in our Discord understand about mining but the average person may not realize it doesn’t take high tech fancy computers or ASIC machines to mine our coin. You can mine reliably with any old Android phone and earn some coins today.
So with that in mind we thought we could reach a new untapped demographic via this ad and hopefully get people interested in cryptocurrency who might not have been otherwise. Also potentially save some android phones from ending up in landfills or gathering dust!
In other news, this radio advertisement is part of a broader effort to market DeroGold more reliably. As a team, we have collectively invested thousands of dollars and thousands of man hours of work into making our cryptocurrency network a great blockchain as well as getting it in front of the eyes of potential investors and users. We realize through trial and error that some dollars could have been better spent elsewhere and that some man hours could have been spent better working on other things. It is through this trial and error though that DeroGold grows and we as a community and a team become better for it. To give you all an idea though, we as of late have been putting our marketing budget towards things like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), creating more backlinks, advertising, and viral marketing avenues.
That is not all though, we as a team have seen and noted all of the community’s concerns regarding exchanges and the question of ‘when will there ever be a possible new exchange listing?’ At first as a team, and then as a community, we had decided back in 2020 that any possible new exchange listing costs would have to be funded by the community and for a long while that was how we have been operating. We heavily considered asking the community for funds to help list on the exchange Altilly at the cost they were asking for but right as we were going to ask the community for funds Altilly began their “free listing” promotion. Even though they ultimately denied our free request for listing we still thought after this promotion ends we can still pay to be listed. They then got hacked (allegedly) and our ideas of a new exchange were put on hold.
As a team since then we have talked and concluded it would be unfair of us to put the burden on you the people when it comes to a new exchange listing because we could have raised the money then to list on Altilly and lost it all. Some of the core team members have decided to commit to getting DeroGold on some new exchanges by the end of this year no matter what the cost. This means that the burden will no longer be resting on the community and instead the core team will take the risk involved with getting on a new exchange. We hope this answers some of the questions you guys might have about the future of DeroGold trading.
One final note, the DeroGold mobile wallet is still in the works so don’t go around thinking we have forgotten about it. We are working based on the assumption that by the end of 2021 it will be completed. This is one of our top priorities as it stands. Be on the lookout for the DeroGold Android Wallet to come out sooner rather than later.
